To Inspire

Genealogy is a great hobby. Always something new to find whether it be a new name, story or event in history. I hope this inspires you a little bit to find out something new about your family and pass it on so the history doesn't get lost. If your new to my blog, please see the tab "Archive Index" - these are all my past articles. Enjoy!

Wordless Wednesday - very cool old photos

I had the opportunity to scan some old photo albums related to my childrens Great great Grandmother.  Beside family photos, there were alot of interesting pictures that can give you a picture in time - how life was for the family and how drastic it changed.  They were originally out in North Dakota on homestead area. You can see the horse drawn carriages and Indian teepees.  Then they eventually moved into the City of Chicago area.  You can see the change of clothing and cars. They traveled as well as you will recognize a few of the landmarks

Like the gun he's holding?
This is believed to be one of Al Capones followers. It's told she dated him a bit!
You can see the gun in his pocket area.
